However it's time for me to get an Laptop for moving around allot in my job/study's that I do and plus keep on doing YouTube (GTAV Too

What I have came to is this http://goo.gl/v3vylUOut of all the models that they have, I like this one better, Keep in mined that The price is in AUD and in my country it can be more expensive, anyways with this model I can get free shipping and MSI Bag and a gaming mouse that's worth around $100. I do like Asus better but they cost allot more and then MSI have gotten better over the years

So I like to hear people thoughts and tips, I can't make up my mine on what one to- get but I do like this

Judging by the specs i'd say that's a beast of a laptop, Although you'd probably have to have it plugged in whenever gaming, I think that thing would be power hungry when playing games at max settings with everything running full pace. Although if I was you, i'd go for the Razer Blade since you are moving around a campus (i'm guessing) And that thing would be quite heavy and inconvenient to transport.

If you're looking for a laptop, i'd go for either MSI or Razer as from what i have seen they make their laptops specifically for gaming, with great parts and a fairly decent price.. plus the company itself makes parts purely for gaming so i'd go to them for a gaming laptop.

For the laptop you linked, i'd say go for it if you have the money, that has top notch gaming parts and will be perfect for gaming. although like stated above, it might chew through some power when gaming and it looks thick so it might be heavy (i'd send a message to MSI and ask them for their opinion on the laptop). I was actually thinking of purchasing one of these myself so in the winter i can be in the living room in heat playing games, or be on the move playing games rather than being confined to my room (where my desktop is).

After some research the weight of that laptop is 3.78kgs which is roughly around the same weight as a regular laptop so.. honestly, weight shouldn't be that much of a problem.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Those MSI Laptops are acctualy quite power efficient, the gtx 970 does not consume lots of power.

That's right! I be around allot from places to places to county to country, But I gotta do what I gotta do of what I love, that's gaming :woot: weight is very important but, 3.78kgs is not much heaver then a 5 year old slim laptop at 2.50kgs.

I really like the ASUS G751 (GTX970M Model)

http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=13748

Same price but slightly better specs than the MSI (Larger SSD, more RAM, etc) at the same price. Only downside of it is its heavier. ~4.3KG so I don't know if that's a deal breaker for you. Both are the same price.

Full specs can be found here: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_ROG_G751JM/specifications/

Looking at the MSI, it looks pretty solid :)

All in all, I would get the ASUS over the MSI just because in terms of customer service and reliability.

Feel free to PM me for help! Also please hit the like button if anything I said helped or made ya laugh. Specialty is computer hardware and assembling so feel free to ask anything if you need help :)

That's an really nice Asus model, After comparing it, there are a lot of difference in them.

1. Same GPU but MSI has 6gb where Asus has 3gb (MSI wins)

2. Asus has allot more Ram size then MSI (Asus Wins)

3  Asus has bigger size SSD then MSI (Asus wins)

4  Asus is more heavier (MSI wins)

Well, they both really good an heard to tell from both of them really.

Yeah, but just wanted to point out that between 6GB to 3GB VRAM on a laptop, it won't matter at all. Since both are 1080P screens, they won't be using more than 3GB's of VRAM. It's just a marketing scheme. Unless you run 9000+ Skyrim Mods that is than yeah, go for the 6GB

That's very true, which I would never use all 6GB in that life time of that Laptop, The Asus however is really looking at me on this, I mean the cooling system is better then MSI and it has allot more SSD and Ram size installed then MSI

I would always go for an ASUS gaming laptop. The MSI laptops I've seen all tend to get extremely hot when gaming, whereas the ASUS laptops have excellent cooling, although more expensive.
