ELS 8.0 makes LCPDFR crash

Hi, my problem is with ELS 8.0 because when I start the game this message appear: "LCPDFR has encountered an error which has been logged to LCPDFR.log. (...)".

I tried to play the game just with the LCPDFR and Simple Trainer and it works, so, I don't understand why ELS makes this error.

I tried also to update the version of GTA IV, .Net Framework 4.5, Visual C++ and all the "simple solutions" you suggest but nothing changed.

I'm using GTA IV 1.0.7.0 with LCPDFR, Simple Trainer and ELS 8.0 and the only "extra" i have are some car and weapon models.

I've attached the lcpdfr.log, the AdvancedHook.log and a screenshot of the complete error message.

Hoping to resolve this problem, thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Simple version for you.  You have an older version of AdvanceHook copied over and probably Scripthook as well.

Find these 2 files from the LCPDFR installer and just copy them back over to your GTA IV.  Hopefully this works and you no longer have to reinstall.

=This is my log file which show the correct version.

I tried but now the situation is worsened. The game crash at the start and the diagnostic tools tells me that the ScriptHookDotNet.asi was modified :(

Okay,  now we have an idea that something else is also not set up right.

I don't like it either,  but the only way to find the problem is reinstall GTA IV with no other mods, nothing.

When GTA IV is ready,  install ELS 8.0 and let it copy everything over.   You could install 1 ELS car just to test that it works and how it looks.

After you are happy with ELS working,  install LCPDFR 1.0d and let it copy/replace its files.

For some people,  there are sometimes problems with ELS + SNT key binds.  Try installing Simple Native Trainer after LCPDFR.

Read the 2nd post from (CouthInk4),

If all this works okay,  you can start adding whatever extra scripts you want.

You want to make sure the basic parts (GTA IV, ELS, LCPDFR) are done correctly and test them one at a time.  If you still have problems,  it makes it easier for other people to help out if there are fewer things to look at and diagnose.

Good luck.

this is absolutely correct from the start to the finish. it mirrors the problems i was having and that others are having. i have been giving advice along the same lines since then and i tell ya this should be posted somewhere with the ELS download. it would help so many problems if people were made aware of the ELS advanced hook issue before they downloaded lcpdfr. good post :)
