Installing 1.0d not working in game.

Featured Replies

Hello guys, sorry im pretty new to this community and LCPDFR, and would like to know what should i install first. The reason im asking is cause there is only an option to download LCPDFR 1.0d hotfix and i cant find the original LCPDFR 1.0. Do i need the LCPDFR 1.0 first before i update with the 1.0d, because i tried the 1.0d auto installer and in the game i press alt+p and nothing happeneds so im assuming im missing some sort of files to correct the issue. What would i need to get this mod up and running, i have installed the older ones with no issue but so buggy.

Thanks.

Hello There. Suppose I could help. Before running any modifications, please be sure that you have the latest GTA:IV Patch (1.0.7.0) and that you run the game as Administrator. Also, the LCPD:FR hot fix on the website is the full and most recent version of LCPD:FR. The Automatic installer will extract a folder named "LCPD First Response" to your GTA:IV game directory if you routed it correctly. Everything in that folder is what needs to be in the directory anyway so I found it easier to do the manual install. This could be why it is not working because you need to move the contents of that folder to the directory. The manual install is basically a "drag and drop" process and takes no time at all, this also includes the most recent version of Advanced Hook to run the Mod. If you are running ELS V8 as well as this mod, you may have conflicts of running them together, or you may not. This is the issue I am currently having.

Hey DeputyWhaley56, thanks for your response. I have done everything you told me, the GTA IV patch is to the latest patch, i have installed the LCPDFR 1.0d manually and did it step by step. Still when i enter the game its still giving me an issue saying error running script, then says Loaded Script under it and the commands are not working. ALT+P and nothing happeneds in game, i have tried several times of uninstalling and reinstalling and have had the same issue with this LCPDFR 1.0d, seems that for some reason something is not reading it, i think im doing everything ok, any other suggestions from anyone will help. Im running steam if that makes a difference in some of the solutions. Thank you.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

May I ask how you start your game? What I mean is, do you simply start from desktop/steam or do you start from the LauchGTAIV application?

Here's how you get there

Local Disk (C:) / ProgramFiles / ProgramFiles (x86) / Steam / SteamApps / Common / GTAIV / Then scroll down until you see LaunchGTAIV. Right click and then Left click "Run as Administrator".

I hope this helps you. Also, be sure to read everything Cyan has posted for you about posting instructions. Happy gaming :)
