LCPDFR Pistol Idea

Featured Replies

Hey I was just playing LCPDFR 1.0d and I was thinking to myself, wouldn't it be cool if somehow when you switch to your  pistol, in the pistol holster the pistol disappears because you have it equipped? Of course that would be challenging just thinking about it, how to create it, but at the same time, it would bring a whole sense of realism to the game itself!! I'm sure since the first time it came out it would still need to be tested for crashes, and a lot of beta tests, but I would be the first to beta and I would use it, it doesn't have to be a separate script, maybe integrate it into LCPDFR like the taser, even though its nothing like it, sort of. Just a thought, could I get some feedback on this idea!? Even from LCPDFR Staff?

Well, the holstered pistol is actually a part of the ped model itself, so in order to have it removed it would be an entirely new model and a custom animation would have to be made. Sounds like a fair bit of work with little reward, so it's likely that the LCPDFR guys won't work on it and/or make it a part of LCPDFR, methinks there are other more important things (AMBULANCES!!!).

Maybe if someone else would be willing to accept the challenge, go ahead, but don't hold your breath.

I think this has a working version for the pistol, and there a few that only work for long guns( shotgun and ar15). I don't like it because it's not realistic for an officer to always have an ar or shotgun slung on his back all the time. Look up "equip gun mod gta 4", see if there's one for the pistol.

Ambulances you say? Elaborate sounds interesting!

Interesting!

i was just tickled to turn my game on last night and see that my pistol has a flashlight on it!!! i had installed a gun that allegedly had a flashlight on it a month ago but nothing happened..so im wondering if that was included in the new update or if the gun i inserted a while ago just started working magically...i find that interesting..
