Calling Backup During Pursuit

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me how to call backup during a vehicle pursuit? I tried alt+b but the backup doesn't chase the car and I also tried pressing f9/10/11/12 but nothing happens. It's really annoying and ruing the whole point of "GTA police" concept having to pursuit a suspect alone.

If a vehicle fails to stop, press Alt + E , that will initiate a pursuit and other nearby untis will start to join in. I would on ly use Alt + B an d Alt + N if the suspect or suspects are on foot and cornered.

Nearby units do join the pursuit and I do press alt + e but as the chase goes on and the suspect leave distance from AI units no more units spawn. The only backup I could get to help me is the air support. So there are not a key at all to call pursuit backup? Maybe I will put this in the suggestion.

No there isn't a dedicated key for back that will assist in pursuits. Out of curiousity have you considered using road blocks to slow the suspect down? That would give the other units a chance to catch up and if you manage to stick to the suspect depending on what area they are in I've noticed they try and take more corners to shake you off, that inveriably slows them down giving the AI chance to catch up and eventually box him in when you PIT him, or use another tactic. Also pedestrian cops will join in the pursuit if you manage to get him out of the car.

Speaking of roadblocks, is there a key for that?

I use Police Helper so I don't really use the native one. So I'm going to take a guess at how it works, I think you will have to go into your map set a waypoint of where you want to place a roadblock and then I think the default key is the 'M' key. If I'm wrong check out the manual that came with LCPDFR.

EDIT: Gramatical errors....

Nvm, I found out how to call a roadblock via QAM.
