I am from holland and I play grand theft auto iv with lcpdfr every day.

But since the update from lcpdfr 1.0c to lcpdfr 1.0d my game crashes.

An Lcpdfr error reporter opens and says: Error: failed to find savegame. you may close this window now.

I don't have an illegal version of gta so i don't know the problem.

I hope you guys could help..... wanna play so bad!

That error just means that the game crashed before LCPDFR could create a savegame (either LCPDFR was never started, or it crashed less than 30 seconds after starting LCPDFR). It isn't the cause of a crash.

For the OP of this topic, we're going to need logs to be able to help you. First of all, try reinstalling LCPDFR using the manual installation.

I found the problem i think. I removed elsv8 from my gta folder and the game doesn't crash now. Is there a other els version that supports lcpdfr 1.0d but doesnt have the bugs like elsv7 does. Like when you have your lights on the door is shocky when you step out the car

Have you tried re-installing it just to see if it was a bad install of ELS 8? If not you could try google searching ELS 7 that was the previous version but I'm not sure if its still uploaded somewhere for you to download.

ELS 8 should work fine, but if you install it do not use the AdvancedHook.dll that comes with it. It is an old version, the new version that comes with LCPDFR 1.0d is required and should be compatible with ELS 8.

 I was having the same problem. I went ahead and removed just the els8 folder from the gta folder and then started the game. It would run fine then. So after getting back out of game I noticed it had added a file into the directory called "savegame.fr". I decided to put the els8 folder back into the gta folder and it now the game loads and runs fine even with els8.
