gta 4 will not load

Okay, try taking xlive.dll out, and double-click on the lcpdfr installer. When it progresses to the installation options with the checkboxes, deselsect dsound, and select Xlive. The xlive that comes with lcpdfr should work. Games for Windows will not work so long as xliveless is installed. This is why you will not be able to use multiplayer while you have it in the game directory.

  • Make sure you haven't got both dsound and xliveless installed, only install one.
