I have ELS v8. Is there any way I can just make only the back of the light bar light up?

It usually depends on the model and how the modeler setup the extras.

That depends on the model and how the person designed ELS for it. On most models you can't but there is a few out there that can. There's 2 models I know of so far, try searching for the "Harbour county CVPI" and there is currently an Impala in the top downloads section that does the same thing. it's the Harris county impala. I'm sure there is a few CHP cars around that do this too.

Cj24's Whelen Liberty Ford Taurus has that setup, I wish ELS had an option to have either the front lit up, have the back lit up as well as being able to use secondaries without key binding issues, I've seen it done during traffic stops so it doesn't blind oncoming drivers.

I've configured them to have independent front / rear lighting. Specifically the Harbor County CVPI and the Harris County Impala V2. More to come in the future...
