Crown Victoria Mirror Lights Question

Featured Replies

On a Crown Victoria I'm working on, I've put on Trauma Pak's Mirror Lights, but I have a problem. They flash all fine, but when I open the door(s) they don't move with the door. I've attached the Mirror Lights to the door, but then the doors don't open at all. I've looked around, but didn't find anything that would answer my question so that's why I'm creating a seperate topic.

Note: The Mirror Light's I'm using were converted from .obj to .wft by Heisenberg.

Did you attach the actual els to the doors? If you want it to move with the door the els has to be in door dummy. I think it's door_dside or pside, You have to put the mirror light and the els light for that side under door_dside. If you do this, you can't have extra_3 anywhere else, so you can't have extra 3 be in the lightbar and the mirrors.

Put the extra and the L0's above the door collisons, and make sure you separate the two mirror lights before you do this. Hopefully this makes sense

I've placed the ELS lights under the doors and above the collisions, and that works. Now the things that hold the ELS light (misc-a-L0) doesn't move with the doors. Basically the ELS lights move with the door and the misc-a-L0 doesn't. I was thinking that I have to divide the two holders (misc-a-L0) because they are attached together. Is this what I would have to do? And if so how do I break them apart so they aren't attached together?

If you have a mesh that you want to move with the door, you'll need to ATTACH that to the door with the "attach tool", and what you did with the extra part (that is the els light itself (extra_1 to extra_9)) is you LINKED that to the door dummy (the dummy is the thing that holds the _L0, _L1 and _[COL] meshes). Linking is when you pull something onto another dummy / mesh and attaching is when you attach 1 mesh to the other one, resulting in having 1 mesh.

So basically what you need to do is attach the mirror light to the door like it was a simple part of the door (like the mirror is).

Thank you to both of you, I have both lights and holders moving with the door. My only problem now is that they are steady burn lights. Do you know what would cause this?
