Then use Dsound. It's what I use.

Dsound is recomended anyway. It's just some peopke prefer Xlive and it works better for them.

Just for future reference it's better to make a new thread but as the OP has had his problem sorted I guess it's ok

Are you using one of the downoaded 100% savegame files. I used to use these, but they require Xlive to work which as you said stops you getting online for MP.

If you are then by just finishing the first mission and then running LCPDFR opens all the islands up anyway.

Dsound will crash, or not load at all when trying to run a saved game that uses Xlive afaik.

Just something to concider as it catches people out when trying to play MP (me included)

Also friendly advise: Edit your posts rather than double posting right after a post you just made. The mods like to keep things tidy and don't like double posting.

well thanx..but it still doesnt work.i started a new gane and dlted savegames.still crashes i then installed a older version.lcpdfr o.90 i think.it worked,0.95rc1 crash..what to do??

Please avoid hijacking other people's threads in the future. Apart from that, please read the stickies and post your diagnostics tool log as well as a DETAILED description of the problem. (i.e. don't write like a 9 year old)

Also: Use the edit button instead of double posting.

At what stage does the game crash? i.e. After you log into the social club, or upon loading the savegame, etc.
