A way to remove abandoned emergency vehicles

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone. After playing some LCPDFR I noticed a annoying issue which involves 80% of the police vehicles. Liberty city cops likes to abandon their vehicles, and even when I call tow truck to get rid of the vehicle the game simply states ''you cannot tow a vehicle that has passengers inside'' or something like that. Well I can tell you no one was in the vehicles. I even waited for a long time to see would a officer come and pick his vehicle, but nope.

So on a long playing session these cop cars will stack and stack and stack, and at somepoint will probably cause my game to crash. Or at least stress the mods which will cause crashes or errors. I haven't found any mods that deals with this issue. Something very simple would be awesome, whetever it was a command you type to console or whatever to ''remove all loaded emergency vehicles'' from the game (aka despawn). Of course it would be nice if you're vehicle would not be effected by this :D I don't know anything about modding or such so I do not know is this even possible. But some kind of reliable and fast way to deal with these vehicles would be awesome.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi,

Some scripts already have cleanup features included in them internally (for example most callouts from LCPDFR should set the vehicles as no longer needed and thus they will despawn naturally, or delete them when not required) or as special features.

If you use Callouts+ for example I have included 2 removal methods, you can either call for a tow truck (which has been integrated with the LCPDFR API and should not tell you a person is inside) or you can call for a removal officer who will drive the vehicle out of existence when it gets beyond the players draw distance.

You can also use the dirty method of spawning a barrier in the place of the police car, this will force it to spontaneously pop out of existence (although this is not a design feature, it's how GTA manages it, and can cause issues if the vehicle is frozen in place)

Alternatively, grenades work really well (although I appreciate this isn't ideal)

I just go for a ride and when I come back everything disappears. Alternatively I keep an eye on cops (especially those called for backup) 'cause they tend to disappear when you don't look at them. After incident is resolved, they usually get in and leave the area.

I'm using tow truck and removal team but they can't do it always. I found in native trainer ''clear area'' command. It can clear all objects, vehicles and peds from the area (you can adjust range). This is by far the best thing I've found. When you have 5 or 6 cop cars in one pile, even if the removal / tow truck works, you'd have to call them multiple times in a row, it's time consuming. So I guess I kinda solved my own problem here :D

Policing is time consuming ;)

Glad you've found a solution.
