LCPDFR Crashing due to audio missing

Featured Replies

My game is crashing within 10 minutes and according to the logs it seems obvious that it is because of the audio

These are always the last few lines of each log before my game crashes, im not too fussed about the audio is there anyway to fix or disable the audio for the police radio?

Does anyone have suggestions? its certainly not a coincidence that these are always before the crash, its pretty much the only problem I run into and there must be a way to stop the police radio running the scripts? Makes little sense to me that the game crashes because it can't find audio surely it would just not load it and move on? I have found other posts with the same errors just before the game crashes but never any answers.

Just because they are the last lines in the log file doesn't mean they are causing the crashes. If you look at the time stamps:

[iNFO - 02:05:17] [updateCheck] DoUpdateCheck: No updates available

This is done as soon as you start LCPDFR.

[WARNING - 02:05:37] [AudioDatabase] GetAudioFileForAction: No file found for: FELDSPAR_ST

This happened 20 seconds later. You said the game crashes after 10 minutes, not 20 seconds.

If you have ANY other mods, try playing without them. GTA IV gets less stable with more mods.

10 minutes most of the time, not that it makes any difference because regardless of how long it takes to crash every time it crashes the last thing in the log is the missing audio error. Also I tried playing without answering any callouts but with lcpdfr on and I could play with no problems.  So you think it is just a coincidence that all the crashes I have had so far always end in the same error? And I don't use mods its the base game with the latest lcpdfr. What I need is a way of disabling it to then test it and see for myself if it works or not, otherwise its just guessing.

No, but you can go to the audio folder and fix it by copying other files and naming them as the streets that are missing.

Go to this directory in your GTA IV folder: lcpdfrAudioPoliceScannerStreets

Make a copy of one of those files and rename it to whatever you are missing, i.e. make a copy of ACTER_CANAL.wav and rename it to BROWN_PLACE.wav. Like I said, the audio most likely isn't the issue, but you can try that to see if it fixes it.
