  • Yea now that I think of it there was only a red beacon back in the day. Still though, to me red/blue is classic police. If you put those colors together and ask people whats the first thing they think

  • Yeah seriously wtf Mountain View........

Yup. I grew up in the south so for me, police use all blue and fire/ems use all red. That's just how it's been most of my life so that's what I'm used to I guess.

Red and blue. Blue is more visible (in my opinion). My department uses a blue Whelen Liberty on their Explorers with a few red and blue LED's behind the back windshield and grille/push bar. I doesn't matter much to me though, as long as they do their job properly.

All blues...of course with a orange traffic advisor in the back. Most depts. in my state have all blues....and by state law all police vehicles have to have blue...and fire and ems have to have red..no blue at all.

Blue my friend. Blue. Looks amazing, especially on Boston police cars.

I'm in California.  Everybody is supposed to (by law) have at least a bit of red in front.  So I'm partial to half red/blue.

Blue and red. With blue being on the passengers side front and back, same with red, and no CHP shit where the colors on the back are on different sides than on the front

Yeah, except for fucking Mountain View PD who are all blue with a stupid red steady dash light. So dumb.

Here in Turkey (Yes it is a country, not just an animal, located in middle east next to Iran/Iraq and such...) the local police force use red/blue while the paramedics use all blue, same with the fire engines. I would prefer for the paramedics to use red/white, fire dept. to use mainly red and a bit of white, the police to use red/blue/white while the low-profile/undercover/high ranked ones (like the SWAT or FBI in US) to use all blue. I am happy with the utility vehicles to use amber. Looks nice and proper for me
