Possible ELS, Mass Taxi/Police Spawn, Door Stutter, Stuck lighting fix

Featured Replies

I have thought of a idea for ending the bug where you replace a few cars in GTA IV, and then all you see is taxi's or specific cars.

What if, we made it so that NO cars at all spawn.

Now create a mod that spawns random cars around the player from all directions, and perhaps 3 - 10% possibly adjustable feature of those cars will

disobey traffic lights, and drive wreckless and speed, perhaps 1% will drive wreckless.

Now generate a second mod responsible for spawning only taxi's around the player, or possibly incorporate it in the first mod, and have settings on the frequency and locations

of all the different types of cars and how frequent they spawn in certain areas and how many and so forth.

Now have a third mod, for spawning emergency vehicles and have it set so that it only spawns them with a specific component, preferably the defaults where only the proper

lights show up.

Now a forth mod, perhaps incorporate it into LCPDFR, where you will see random police chases, or police speeding through the city, or following ambalances, or a high volume all

all different types of emergency vehicles following each other, also they would spawn with random lighting configs, or it coudl be adjusted so that they all spawn with a certain ELS config.

Now for the doors stuttering when the lights are on have it so that, you can push a key and it will configure ELS to shut the lights off immediately for the amount of time it takes

to get out of the car, and then resume the lights, Or it could just fade the screen to black and then back to normal to hide the doors from stuttering it would be good for videos.

A lot of work if possbile. I doubt anyone here will do it. Nice suggestions though.

Of course it's a lot of work, There is no easy way of developing a magic mod to fix everything.

At least for the taxi/police problem hooking the ingame's createvehicle function and passing different models would be much easier. Maybe I do sometime.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Nice, let's replace a critical GTA IV function which will be 10x slower if we do it through the scripthook. From us: No.

Now create a mod that spawns random cars around the player from all directions, and perhaps 3 - 10% possibly adjustable feature of those cars will

disobey traffic lights, and drive wreckless and speed, perhaps 1% will drive wreckless.

See above. From us: No.

This is planned.

Ask ELS devs this, not us.

Arrogant as hell bro

Slow or not it would prolly be better than the same cars spawning all the time

even so you could do it just for police and taxi's

No, it wasn't arrogant, I was telling you why we're not going to do it. If replacing a critical part of GTA IV's engine was that easy, and we could really have it going at the same speed (which we can't, btw, it's impossible) then we would have done it a long time ago.

I have to agree with Jay on this. Would be it nice to have some variety in vehicles? Yes, of course it would. However, there is already a mod out there that fixes the traffic issues (yes, it can have a slightly detrimental affect on your system performance but adjusting your graphics settings more than compensates).
