Hello LCPDFR Community,

I hav recently purchased GTA 4 for the purpose of playing your mod. I have been on these forums for hours reading through threads of people who have had errors and I was hoping I wouldn't have any. I am not sure if the mod is what is causing me to have issues with GTA 4 or if it is something else but I hope you all will be able to help me find out.

I have followed the READ HERE FIRST post to the letter. I did exactly as it says. Here is what I have done so far.

Installed GTA 4

Updated GTA 4 to latest patch

Downloaded my LIVE profile in game

Downloaded LIVE updates in game

Played GTA4 - new game - worked and played nice and smooth (didn't save because I logged out of my live profile)

Installed LCPDFR 0.91 using automatic installer

Ran Diag tool (all systems were good)

Started GTA 4

Logged into LIVE profile

loading music for the game

black screen showing starting new game in bottom right corner

Let it sit there for 5 mins or so

CTRL ALT DEL and END NOW PROGRAM to get out of the game.

Restarted Computer

Ran GTA 4 as Admin

Signed into LIVE

Could hear music in background but screen was black

loading new game screen

let it sit for another 5-10 minutes

CTRL ALT DEL + END NOW PROGRAM to get out of game.

Checked, double checked, and triple checked everything before coming onto the forums to make a post.

Below is the DIAG i just ran again. I was able to play GTA 4 before the mod was installed. I don't understand why now it just loads and new game for infinite amount of time. Any and all help is appreciated. You guys are the best of the best.

While I was waiting for a reply I uninstalled everything I had game and the lcpdfr mod. I re-installed everything and was able to play the first beginning mission (of the GTA 4 story *NO MODS INSTALLED) and save it. I tried to play .91 of the mod and my game won't launch. I followed all the steps again to ensure it is correct. I get an error regarding the Dsound file or whatever not being able to access something. I was using my uncle's computer and he came home so I cannot try any longer.

I spent 5 hours trying to get this to work. Between installing, re-installing, researching issues, ect. Extremely disappointed. Would love to play this mod with custom cars and the ELS mod but I cannot get even the mod without extra mods to work.

Really would love to play this. Just need some help. Many people are able to play it so why can't I?

Ok.

So here is the deal. A freshly installed version of GTA 4 with the latest patch works 100% flawlessly on my computer.

Once I download and install .91 it won't boot up my game anymore. So, i am not sure what to do if the Diagnostics show that it should work and it is not. Should I try .95? I thought I should do .91 because it isn't in the beta stages.
