Random Crashes in Pursuit and Responding Code 3

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone.  Game was running pretty prefect until recently.  Loaded in some new skins but not sure that is the problem.  I crash during some pursuits now and once when responding code 3 to a call.  I use els, lcdpfr, and some other mods but only started having problems very recently.  Can anyone help?  The advancedhook shows an error but I don't recognize it.

Well, seeing as none else has offered their help, I'll give you a few things to do (not promising they'll help).

First off, depending on your specs (high, mid, low end) you may be crashing due to too many cars in the pursuit. You can either, reduce the amount of police cars in the pursuit via the LCPDFR.ini in the first group of options, or better yet, turn off AI ELS via the ELS.ini.

If that doesn't work, check your scripts folder. You haven't mentioned which scripts you have. In the AdvancedHook.log, there's talk of a ".dll" which I believe is something to do with scripts, although I'm not entirely sure. I try not to use too many scripts myself, and I can't tell you which will/won't crash you game, but take into account the vdH mods (Towing Service, Coroner, PoliceHelper) are all unsupported for 1.0 and PoliceHelper in particular crashes fairly often. So you may want to remove those.

Like you said, it may just be the skins you recently installed, although I find it hard to believe that the skins would be responsible for a crash. If you skins are ridiculously HQ though, then they may be an issue. Along with removing the skins also remove any mods that were installed recently prior to the crashes happening.

Finally, I can't help you any further then suggesting you re-install IV and your mods.

Hope something works for ya!
