I bought a new graphics card, installed drivers and LCPDFR is not working anymore

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

today I bought a new graphic card GTX 750Ti GS. I had to install some new drivers, and when I tried to launch GTA, error in script loader.loader showed up ... When I was using the old graphic card, everything worked well, but like I said I put a new graphic and installed drivers, and it´s not working anymore. I tried both automatic and manual install.

This is my LCPDFR.log

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

Have you tried running the diagnostic tool that came with LCPD:FR 1.0? if there is a problem with the LCPD:FR files then it should show up in the diagnostic check.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Problem is that diagnostic is not working in the right game folder, so I cannot run it ... I mean when I run diagnostic tool it goes to the different folder, to folder where I had EFLC, before I uninstalled it ... And I cannot change it to check the folder when I have actual game installed. It´s kinda weird, don´t know how to solve it.

But don ´t you know what could have happened. Is it possible that some of the important files could have been deleted just because I changed my graphics card and installed some nvidia driver ? Because like I said, it was working fine like 2 hours ago, and now with a new graphic card it keeps telling me error. loader. loader :/

I´m not sure if it will help but I can remember that also ELS wasn´t working after changing those graphics cards.

Once your diagnostic tool opens up and it locates your game folder it should come up like how it is in my attached picture, if it's like that, click on the Open Folder button then locate your GTA folder again.

Also have you tried re-installing these files?

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 (only download the x86 one)

Edit: to reply to your response after i submitted my post, if ELS also had problems, you may need to replace your dsound.dll file in your directory with a new one (wherever you may have one on your PC) if it still persists. your last option maybe to reinstall your game.
