Another Script Error LCPDFR Loader.Loader

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just recently had this issue come up.  I have been playing LCPDFR for about a week straight and now this issue is coming up.  I have tried troubleshooting this on my own, I have done everything that has been posted about this issue on the Forums (DirectX, both Redist, Uninstalled and reinstalled a clean version of GTA IV, manually installed LCPDFR, used the automatic install, etc), but I still am unable to get LCPDFR to load, which is a shame as I love this mod.

I'll try to post as much information as I have.  Also, I am unable to get any LCPDFR logs to come.  I have this working on Episodes from Liberty City, but I want this on GTA IV.

Folder contents and the diagnostics together

I went through all the asi files and removed them one at a time so I only had one and still got the same error.

Diagnostics run on Advanced mode (after I removed ELS v8's scripts)

I've been working on this all day and would like to get this to work.

Thank you for your assistance!  :)

Hi,

When you ran the diagnostics tool were you absolutely certain that you checked your GTA IV directory and not the EFLC directory? (It checks EFLC by default)

Also are you running any other program which might be accessing the LCPDFR .dll file?

Have you also checked to make sure that you have the correct redists? (2010 and 2012, both 86x NOT 64x)

I just rechecked.  When doing the regular scan it goes to EFLC, but for the advanced option, it goes into the GTA IV folder.

I'm not sure what other programs would be accessing LCPDFR.dll?  Would you know what ones would be accessing them?

Yes, I have the x86 redits.

Like I mentioned before, I had it working and it was pretty stable (could play an hour to 2 hours before crashing), and now I am getting this error.

Great, just making sure.

I'm not sure either if I'm honest, but the reason LCPDFR isn't working for you is because the .dll file is being accessed by something else.

Ok I'm going to throw out a few possible ideas that "could" fix the issue, try them all and let me know (even if you already did it, let's just be 100% sure)

Run both the GTAIV.exe and the LaunchGTAIV.exe as an administrator.

Replace dsound with xlive and try to load it again.

Remove any other mods you have (if any).

Uninstall LCPDFR (completely) run GTA IV and then close it correctly(quit, not alt f4 etc) and then install LCPDFR. When that is done don't let it open the diagnostics tool to configure lcpdfr just run the game immediately.

I did everything like you had asked and it is still not working.  Giving me the same error.  :(

EDIT:  I got frustrated and I uninstalled LCPDFR and and then uninstalled GTV IV.  Once that was done, I completely removed the directory.  Reinstalled GTA IV and then installed LCPDFR, not launching the configuration menu.

Tested it quickly and it works!

Thank you so much for your help!  Please close this thread if you wish.

Thank you!
