Same material, different brightness

Featured Replies

Hey,

Recently I was making an Ambulance. The cabin is a Vapid Sandler converted from GTA V, and the rest is from IV. Everything has the same material, but the parts from V are way brighter. What can cause this?

Look at how shiny and reflective the cabin is and compare it with the rest.

What do you mean?

When you go to map something in Zmodeler, there are different channels. Usually, for the livery, one channel has the skin texture, and another channel has the dirt texture. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. There may be some odd discrepancies going on with the cabin.

Well that's the only thing I could imagine causing it. It could possibly be your ENB, but that's very unlikely as I assume you've looked at it from more than one angle.

e: you could technically make the rest of the texture darker until the brightness' match up.

e2: are the brightness' different in OpenIV?

Yes, it is always brighter.

And no, it looks fine in openiv. Would you like to see the model yourself? I can PM it to you.

Sure, I'll try some stuff out.

Crap, I know this me a bit to go look inside my zmod. same thing happened with my Ambo
