Chev Blazer conversion (assistance required :) )

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm converting a blazer(from D:SF) and assume my next step is to add in the Level of Detail/COL layers, should I just take them from the Rancher as that's the closest model and re-size them, or should I try to create my own?

Also, how do I place the different parts like exhaust, engine, pseat, dseat. (the parts that tells the game where certain things happen.)

I have the brakelight, tailight, and indicatorlight as the same texture, how will I get that to work in game? just multiple light layers?

Finally, am I on the right track with what I have? I'm going in blind, off of videos of gtaSA conversions to GTAIV

Hey, D:SF models are very low poly, I would copy the whole car for LOD_L1.  For LOD_L2 I would use the rancher. The different parts are just these blue boxes called dummies:

All you have to do is to take those dummies from the rancher and move them to the right spots. Import the Rancher and delete everything except the dummies:

I see that you have still things to do, but I don't want to write too much in one post. If you have questions feel free to ask!
