MODERATOR NOTICE

Moving to GTA IV Script Modifications.

NOTE: In-between the development I have tried to make this mod so that you can use any bike. Alas it leads to concurrency issues between LCPDFR and my BikePatrol mod. Whenever there is a passenger seat free, LCPDFR would tell your partner to enter your vehicle as passenger while my mod tells him to get on his bike at the same time. There is currently no way to tell LCPDFR to temporarily release control over the partner. I hope this changes in the future. So I had to let go of this idea and rolled the code back to the initial design which you get with this download.

For whatever reason, After exiting the station and selecting my vehicle, I choose the Bike and hit enter. I then spawn a police bike for my partner but he does not get on, he just runs around and tries to keep up on foot. Never getting on the bike himself. Any thoughts?

have you read the guide?

1. Make sure my mod is installed correctly and running. Open the console window and enter "runningscripts" (without quotation marks). You get a list of all script mods currently running. Is BikePatrol.net among them?

2. As initial act you have to be close to your partner for my mod to recognize him. He must be inside a 5 meters radius and in case there is more than one cop inside that area my mod choses the one closest to you.

3. You don't need to spawn a bike for him. If there isn't any free bike around (10 meters radius around him) my mod will spawn one automatically.

its working now, i had to put it in the regular directory rather than in the scripts folder

This bike Patrol Mod is run down the moto wheel no original is the details are real mega badly gets for it 2 of 10 points present yourselves more strives itself :))

@K9Units: could you please rephrase your reply in proper English? I have no idea what you are saying. You can also talk German if you can't do any better. I am from Germany myself.

I guess that's where you have the ScriptHookDotNet.dll sitting, right?

Ok also ich finde den nicht so toll , weil dieses Motorad gibts  nicht  . vom  Design  her auch nicht so toll ,  nicht bös gemeint aber , nim ein anderes Bike  Grüße  aus Nrw 

@K9Units:

1. My mods are strictly for a vanilla game. It would be no wise decision to make it dependent on any third party vehicle as I would force users to also download and install that.

2. I am not the creator of this bike. So I think it's very unfair of you to give my mod a low rating because of that!

3. Feel free to overwrite the original police bike with some third party bike. You just need OpenIV for that. Just make sure you a) leave the name at POLICEB in the vehicles.ide and b) that it's a one seat bike.

That's an awesome idea!

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. When I'm on my police bike (replaced with PStockade), my partner tries to keep up on foot. He won't spawn any bike or anything else. And I'm sure I installed it correctly.

first let me apologize for the late reply. I don't know why but I get no notification about a new post in this thread even though I follow it.

- please open the command line in game and enter "runningscripts" (without quotation marks).
A list is being generated. Can you see BikePatrol.net.dll? If not then check the next point.

 

- Make sure the ScriptHookDotNet.dll is in the same folder as the BikePatrol.net.dll

- You have the PStockade overwritten with the TBOGT police bike? Have you also adapted the vehicles.ide and the handling.dat? My mod cannot spawn a police bike if there is no POLICEB entry in the vehicles.ide.
Note to myself: Display a warning message in case of a failed bike spawning and deactivate the mod.

Not directly related to my mod but out of curiosity: PStockade is used by LCPDFR as one of the transportation vehicles. Have you changed that or do you see a police bike arriving sometimes when you order a prisoner transport? If so, what happens when the criminal tries to enter it?

how would you  create a working policeb slot int the ide for gta iv since  im not using tbogt 

 

I played 1.0d for a bit yesterday and I think my BikePatrol mod has become obsolete. You can get the same by the new "follow in vehicle" command now. :)

You need OpenIV follow the same path way as SparkIV

Hit edit then click the green plus sign an add them from your desktop
