Hello guys, I can't get els 8 working it crashes every 5-10 minutes with no error but: Gta IV has stopped working. How can i fix that? I've already updated net framework,and disabled AI els, but it still crashes. When I use els 7 my gta 4 doesn't crash. What can I do? I really want to use els 8.

Go to GTA IV Directory and open the ELS.ini configuration file.

Go to bottom

Change:

Ai_Els_Sp = on

Ai_Els_Mp = on

 

To:

Ai_Els_Sp = off

Ai_Els_Mp = off

 

Enjoy.

Ahhh I overlooked that. ;)

I know you've updated your framework. But just to be absolutly sure EVERYTHING is updated, check these out:

Make sure these are installed and up to date:

ScriptHook - Download and place in the GTA IV Root directory: http://www.hazardx.com/details.php?file=83

 

Could be something simple like one of those being out of date.

Be sure all ELSv7 is out, and you do a fresh install of ELS8, don't use any ELSv7 file or folder for elsv8.

Do you use dsound.dll or do you have xlive.dll? If you don't know, look in the GTA IV directory for either of those. You should have at least one.

If you have dsound, try using xlive and vice--versa.

I had xlive and dsound at the same time. I removed Dsound but then there was still the same crash after 30 minutes. Then I tried it with just dsound. But when I start LaunchGTAIV.exe I had the fatal error: EFC20. How can i fix that? Also when i use the hazard scripthook everything works fine exept lcpdfr loader.

I think i've solved the problem by turning ELS on for Police and Police2 only. It work's fine now! 

Hello guys, firstly i want to thank you all for making such an awesome mod, however i have tried all steps above accept for Leogerritsen's last post about setting it only for police and police2 as i dont know how to do that. But it seems i still get the crash bug.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out how to change it to only police and police2 but i still get the bug, it tends to happen when i get callouts. Either accepting one or just about to call one in. I've tried re-installing LCPDFR 1.0c to see if something had corrupted the files but with still no change, as before any help or/and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think i have a solution, the crashes (for me at least) seem to happen when i have the ELS menu up when in a vehicle AND doing a callout at the same time, i played a good 20 mins before editing the ELS. But i didnt close it down when accepting a call.

Never mind, it crashed again, i think a fresh install of the game and i think ill pass on ELS for now, at least untill this has been fixed.
