K-9 issues with keyboard

So anyways I'm trying to use K-9 and when I go to spawn it Lctrl+Lalt+period it forces open the task menu and basically shuts down the game. I tried to change the controls of spawning the dog but no luck I this whole issue started today and I have no clue what happened?
