Autodrive mod can chase criminals now

Featured Replies

Hi guys,
today I updated my Autodrive mod to V3.0. Besides from doing regular automatic driving, boating or flying to any given static waypoint you can now also let some driver do the work when you chase someone. On a helicopter patrol you can monitor a fleeing suspect and drink your coffee relaxed while the pilot follows the suspect.
There is a ton of more information and detailed handling and installation instructions in the guide which is either part of the rar file (includes mod, configuration file and the guide) which can be downloaded here
http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/autodrive-some-kind-of-extended-taxi-mod-f25867
or separately right from my project repository here:
https://bitbucket.org/rainerhilmer/autodrive/downloads

EDIT: Now ain't that great! I tested this new version throughout the whole day and everything was fine but now I found some unexpected behavior. :wallbash:

EDIT: Fixed

Known issues: Alas fleeing peds created by LCPDFR are not set to any specific relationship group but are just members of the general civil_female or civil_male group. In order to track them anyway my mod takes the ped nearest to the waypoint marker. So chances are that Autodrive chases the wrong target. As long as there is no way to clearly distinguish a fleeing LCPDFR ped from any other ped around I see no way to fix this issue. Suggestions are very welcome.

I have fixed a minor glitch at the point when the helicopter was landed by another person. You can see this glitch in the video where the chopper lands at the parking place in Northwood. Exactly that one has been fixed. Moreover I have polished the code some more and changed the flight information messages as those speed values are only valid with ground vehicles and boats.

Current version is 3.0.3

I loved the video LMAO. The car constantly slammed into the back or side of a civilian vehicle. Especially loved that part where the civilian changed lanes and you were ejected from the vehicle. Hilarious.

That wasn't me but the driver. Anyway thanks for the reply and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
