ELS lighting

Featured Replies

I put my els lighting equiptment in the back window of this taurus, but when I get into game, the lights don't show through the glass. I even re-mapped the glass to clear. After I shoot the glass, I can see the els lights.

I literally have no experience with ELS mapping, but try making it so that the light texture appears on the exterior side of the window instead of the interior. It's probably the window texture blocking the ELS light from appearing, so if it's over top of the window, theoretically it should work. Again, I have absolutely zilch experience with ELS mapping.

Perhaps see if the rear window is lower in the hierarchy than the ELS lights.

If it is above the ELS light components in the hierarchy, this means that the rear window is being rendered before the lights, which can cause the issue you're having.

Yes. I even replaced the windscreen_r's with another ford taurus thinking that the window was made wrong and still didn't work.

do me a favor i think i know whats wrong. open up your materials editor and go to the els one and take a screenshot for me.

There is a few els ones to select. The duplicate ones are the L0's & L1's.

misc_c is the light bar.

Pretty strange... never had that problem before.

Is there a window template with the model? If so try to reduce the opacity of the window texture in the wtd. That is all the advice I can give you. I have no knowledge of modelling.

Cheers

Tried that as well. The windows were really tinted. More tinted then you see in my video. I did a slicktop cvpi with the same tint as the video and the els lights show right through it.

Happy to help. My idea has helped me immensely when I've downloaded and installed cars in the past.

Cheers.
