Will this rig run GTA:IV on high?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if it could run it on high or with enb's

Specs:

Processor Intel® Core i5-3550 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 12.0 GB

GFX Card: SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 WITH BOOST

Thanks.

Super Duper Yes!!! 12 GB of RAM? Then SH*T! I, only have 2 GB and I run it on medium to high settings, with only 17-30 FPS!!  Once I installed ENB, it's either my game will crash or I will have 5-15 FPS

I wish I have a computer like yours...

Most likely, however ENB's push your system a bit so make sure you have a decent fan. but other than that you should be able to run on high settings.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Ram doesnt mean shit. After around 8 GB its just an aesthetic kind of thing. Unless your rendering in 4K in Sony Vegas, While running Crysis 3 in 1080p on Ultra, shit tons of ram wont help. But yeah, you will definitely be able to run on High. Considering GTA graphics arent that good, or CPU/GPU intense, you most likely want an ENB. If your using something like CryENB make sure to have a good cooling system so your PC doesnt overheat. This could result in your system not being able to keep up, or crashing.

Maybe because I'm a cynic, but am I the only one that gets slightly annoyed at people posting this SAME EXACT topic on all kinds of forums, all over the internet? Is it because people wanna "show off" there PC's to other people and share there specs for bragging rights? No reply are needed, as I don't want this to get derailed into an off topic post, but just food for though......

I agree, some people are just like "I have Ultra Gaming HD 4k 9999999999 Graphics Card, can I run FarmVille on low with atleast 10 FPS?"

I guess it's either they're waay to lazy to test it for themselves, or they dont have the pc yet. Anyway,

Im currently purchasing the graphics card and was wondering if it could run it fine, Iv worked my arse off for it, and in noway am I bragging. I don't have the pc together and was just wondering if it was possible to run it. I apologize for asking for your guys expertise, if i knew it could run it I wouldn't bother to ask. My bad sorry for getting off topic but thanks for the advise and thanks to iiKonrad didnt know about the cooling problem will look at ordering extra fans.

I would only get better cooling if you are planning to use an ENB, dont waste your money if your not going to. Though i imagine you might play some games other than gta that are more GPU or CPU Intense then GTA IV. But anyway, Cheers ;)
