Hey guys, my current laptop is getting old and am thinking of getting a new one. And I am thinking of getting a laptop that can be affordable, yet can play most games in optimum settings. I am willing to spend about 1.85 lakhs(think abt 3500$) for getting one.

Please tell me your opinions guys..!!

Is there a particular reason you don't want a gaming desktop and a general use laptop? It'd probably be cheaper.

EDIT: And a desktop would certainly be much more upgradeable, so you wouldn't have to buy a new computer as often.

I,myself, prefer a desktop and I'd say I rather "hate" laptops but thats just me.As my work requires desktops which can churn out as much power as they can.

Anyways, you want a lappy for gaming, huh? Then what are the other three doing there in the options tab? I expected to see only Alienware, there.

Actually I have a good gaming pc guys, and I have to travel quite a lot due to my job so I want to play games on the move. My current laptop is very much under powered to run most games, and so I want to get a gaming laptop or atleast a laptop which will be able to run games optimally...!!!

Right now I am thinking of the Asus G74SX-DH72 but if there are any other cheaper options I dont mind..!!!

hm can't decide between the Alienware or the Asus, if was me though, I would probably lean more towards the Asus. My current laptop is an Asus and I have to admit, out of all of the ones I have had, it has been the most reliable one. I know Alienware is supposed to be best when it comes to gaming, but I have never been a big fan of Dells, so that may cloud my judgment a little.

HP Pavillion Dv7..

Its what I've got, can run GTA IV on high settings with around 30fps.

Intel graphics only enabled when unplugged, but this can be toggled in the settings, has a ATI Radeon HD 1GB GPU, not sure which one though.. I'll check later

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

What do you mean bro..???

I dont understand..!!

Think he means on battery power it runs of intel graphics that prob' wont run most games, but when plugged into a power source it has enough power to run the ATI gfx card it has installed which does run gta well at 30fps.

At least thats what I got from it :)

Ive not taken part in the poll cause I don't know enough about laptops, I am a desktop freak. But have been impressed with some Asus laptops friends have.

Ok thanks guys, I will check out that HP laptop..!!!

I am also a desktop freak molten, but I barely have time to go home so cannot play as usual on my desktop. I dont have much work in office and spend most of my time playing solitaire etc. coz my office pc has a very low config so I am thinking of getting my old lappy replaced with a new one(hopefully a good one)..!!!

You've got to be kiddin', Alienware is just an overpriced Dell with fancy stickers.

Personally, I'd go with the MSI or Asus.

Next time,think before you leap.
