NON-ELS siren tone(single button) script?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some help, or a script on how to make my non-ELS car do it's siren without using the lights.

You know how you can do that with ELS scripting by pressing "T"? Well I want to do that without the ELS Script because I don't like how game crashes every once in awhile with it.

I just hate having to have my lights on with the siren. I just want to be able to ding the siren.

I hope that is enough information, and sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm sort of new. :|

Download the latest ELS version (v8.0) and set everything under "CONTROLS" to 0 except "Horn_Manu" and "Horn_Airh". Also set "Ai_Els_Sp" and "Ai_Els_Mp" under "MISC SETTINGS" to false.

These settings are located in the "ELS.ini" file in the GTA IV directory.

This allows you to use the airhorn and the manual siren without accidentally hit other ELS keys.

It should also fix the crashes.

ok thank you. It didn't crash often but withou ELS it never crashes. I'll try what you said, I appreciate it. :)

Also thank ineseri.

EDIT:

I'm using NON-ELS Cars, will it still work fine?

& are you saying set EVERYTHING to 0 but those two and then the false ones?

The Non-ELS cars should work fine, but you might have to activate the lights manually by pressing the * key on your numeric pad.

Like this:

- Press * to activate the lights (there are three lighting modes)

- Hold T to activate the siren

Only set the controls to 0, except the Horn_Manu and Horn_Airh. They are located in the beginning of the file (in "CONTROLS").

After that, scroll down and look for "Ai_Els_Sp" and "Ai_Els_Mp" and set them to false.

EDIT: I've uploaded the configuration: http://pastebin.com/gu1SdJTB

This won't necessarily work - I've actually asked Caine about adding ELS siren functionality to non-ELS cars, and his response was that, because non-ELS lights and sirens are linked, it wouldn't necessarily work like it should. That was back around ELS 7; it might be different for 8. Please post saying if it works right or not.
