Change primary light? (ELS8)

Featured Replies

Dont really know how to explain this, but i downloaded a police bike that has a single blue light on the back. Unfortunitely, the light itself is messed up in game. It look like leds, while im trying to get it for a bright halo light (?)

If anybody could help me with this, i tried several things already. Anything is appreciated.

This may help you,

Go into the ELS v8 configuration file and go down until you see,

"[ PRML ]

Type = rota
ForcePatForLstg = on
PatId_Lstg2 = 3
PatId_Lstg3 = 3
Lstg2ActiveExtras = 2and3
ExpressModeRandPat = off
ForcePatForSrnTones = off
PatId_Yelp = 0
PatId_Alt1 = 0

PatId_Alt2 = 0"

Change where it says "rota" to, "halo".

Hope this works.

Thanks a bunch for your reply, unfortunitely the only thing it seems to do is change the 'environment' lighting from simple flashes to a halo pattern, but the light on the bike itself is still not bright at all. I think i didnt make it quite clear what i meant. Here is a video of the same bike but with a good blue light on the back of the bike, instead of the messed up one like mine:

EDIT: Okay, my bad i guess. This problem has nothing to do with ELS8 i think, but more with just the 'brightness/bloom' of the police lights themselves. Still no idea how to fix it or what the search terms are for this fix, so any help is appreciated!

You could try making the ELS lights brighter yourself by going into Common/data/visualsettings.dat. In the visualsettings.dat file, scroll down until you see, "car.extralight.emissive.on 6" and change the 6 (you're may be a different number) to a higher value, OR, try download the Radiance Mod by BxBugg's or there is a recent file that does the same. You could even install an ELS/ENB...

Sorry for the (very late) reply, but i came to the conclusion that the model/lightstick was just messed up, only a designer or something could fix that. Downloaded other bikes in the meantime and they all work perfectly. (Thanks to you also started using Saviors ENB, best thing in my life lol)
