Gta iv crashes every time after suspect gets out of vehicle in a pursuit.

Featured Replies

Hello my gta iv seems to crash as soon as a person gets out of their car when in pursuit(right after I knock their car upside down so they are forced to get out and flee on foot) as soon as they open their door and get out and it says suspect now on foot that is when my game crashes and it seems to do this every time I ever do a pursuit

I have attached my logs to help someone figure out what is going wrong.

here are the logs:

I couldn't upload the minidump.dmp file as it said I am not permitted to upload this kind of file.

I deleted the advancedhookinit.asi as I thought it was causing this issue but it still occurs even though I have deleted it.

here is the checklist I am supposed to make as per ineseri is asking everyone to post:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks - Check Am not using a crack as I bought gta iv from amazon download.
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues...Yes my game is patched to 1.0.7.0 the latest patch
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Yes it is running as admin.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" I have checked this and I don't think this is the issue as I have tried to force it to be read-write but it goes back to read only afterwards(it is located in C:Program Files(x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV) - and yes I am doing this as an administrator.
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder - Check as Scripthook.dll is in my root gta iv root folder as well as scripthootdotnet.asi and xlive.dll
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. - Check their is.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. - Check they all exist
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. - Check I use every dependency required except my graphics card driver requires c++ x64 bit and 2010 c++ x64 bit and yes every other dependency is installed and up to date with the latest from lcpdfr.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 - check already did.

Also already disabled UAC to allow me to run as admin.
