LCPDFR Starting Issues

Featured Replies

I downloaded my GTA IV, off of Gamestop. It was NOT from a disc. I downloaded LCPDFR 0.95RC1. When I first started the gta iv game, not running as an admin., it said error with dsound.dll. When I ran GTA IV as an administrator, it loaded. When I pressed ALT-P, the screen went blurry. I quickly fixed that blur issue, but LCPDFR still won't work. I might not have installed the 1.0.7.0 patch correctly, but I have tried twice. Below is my diagnostics report. Any help is welcome, I have had this issue for a while and it's getting a bit frustrating. :excl: Anyways, thanks in advance. :geek:

Yeah you need to run game as admin which I see you did, And the blur issue ( you said you fixed it but ill post it anyways) Can simply be fixed by pressing P again, So now that's out of the way, What exactly is the issue? Like, How is LCPDFR not working for you? Please be specific, Errors? Crashing? etc?, Thanks, JAM.

PS: Can you also post your LCPDFR.log Please?

What I mean by it's not working is, when I press ALT-P, absolutely nothing happens. So I don't know what's wrong. When you say I should post my LCPDFR.log, could you tell me what it is and how to retrieve it?

LCPDFR.log should be located in your game directory, GTA IV - Install folder: C:Program Files (x86)2K GamesGrand Theft Auto IV <should be located in there. This is so I can see and anyone else what errors are popping up in your game and what issues you might be having.

just remove the dsound.dll and paste xlive.dll . you can get xlive.dll from installing menu of LCPDFR RC1. tick xlive and install again . ( dsound.dll must be removed after/before install xlive.dll from GTA IV Directory folder) it will work perfect .

You have to run GTA IV then the lcpdfr.log will appear in GTA IV Root folder. just do what i said above . delete dsound.dll and install xlive.dll .
