LAPD Officer Roberto C. Sanchez was killed when his patrol car was struck by a SUV.  The driver of the SUV fled the scene but was later apprehended.

How ironic. I was actually speaking with one of the Management members here about having a dedicated forum section entirely for real life emergency services.

 

Anyway, back on topic, being in one of the metropolitan suburbs of Los Angeles, I find it unbelievable yet another officer was killed, the 3rd one in these 4 months, and especially in a vehicle accident, just as the previous fallen officer was killed. My condolences go out to his family and others affected by the loss.
