Honestly though, A lot of shit originates on reddit. It's going to end up on different sites no matter what. Another thing, not everyone visits reddit multiple times a day like you, or I, or someone else might.

Nothing cynical about it, man. You have every right to believe that this particular section has gone to shit, because it has. You can be happy that this site doesn't have a downvote system like Reddit does, because in all honesty, you probably would be rained upon with downvotes for having an opinion that the majority doesn't want to be voiced, even with valid points backing it up.

My point is that it seems as if some people just simply find something they find funny and decide to post it here without any relevancy to the site. And while it may be called the Random section, I still don't think I'd ever read that PornHub has decided to plant a tree for every 100 views per video and think "Man, LCPDFR forums would love this!". But I digress.

It will be interesting to see the stats when this "campaign" is done. How many trees they are going to plant, how many people "participated", etc.

But if you mean how many people participated to help plant the trees (as in physically go to the place & plant), then I guess yeah, that would be interesting...

Well because they want the perpetual cycle of watching the "BIG WOOD" section in order to give back physical wood to nature.... although I do agree, maybe if it was a different category I mean......... hey stuff happens right?
