Any way to have GTA show the Ps3 button mapping?

This is hard to explain, so sorry if your confused. I am using a controller with my PC GTA 4, but its a PS3 one emulated through a program. The only annoyance is that on screen when it tells you to press a certain button on the controller, it always showed the image for the xbox buttons. This gets confusing some times. I didnt think this was possible until today, when doing some modding, I came across some files for the Ps3 version buttons and was wondering if this was possible and how.

 

Again, sorry if im un-clear. This is kinda hard to explain :l

Replace the textures in .../pc/textures/buttons_360.wtd with their counterparts in ./buttons_ps3.wtd.

Cheat-sheet:

A = X

B = O

Y = Δ

X = □

LB = L1

LT = L2

RB = R1

RT = R2

Back = Select

Start = Start

Gonna try this now. So it will show say for example O and when I press O on the controller, it will do the O function correct?

ASSUMING that you have mapped the controller correctly and that you have copied over the textures correctly, yes.

You can't just rename the WTD though, as the buttons have different filenames.

i.e. b_butt versus p_circle, a_butt versus p_cross, etc.
