Texture/ Models slowly stop rendering in the game

Hello,

i have a bit of a problem that i have spent forever trying to fix, and have not yet solved..... maybe someone could help give suggestions.. I will play gtaiv with or without LCPDFR 0.95RC1 installed, and it starts out perfect, awesome fps, no lag, then slowly but surely, models start to go into their LOD, or low quality state, and then just not even show up in game or render. Running LCPDFR seems to make the probelm occur quicker (3-5 minutes in game) as where without it running, it takes 7+ minutes for the models to start glitching. I run patch 1.0.7.0 and use the scripthook, dsound.dll that is provided with lcpdfr. the only other thing i have installed is ELSv6.

I do use some police car mods that have els enabled. I'm pretty sure it's not because of the polys in the cars. I was running with maybe 14+ car mods, ran fine for a few hours or so, then it started the glitch again for some reason, then i did a reinstall with maybe only 5 modded cars, and it still gave me a problem. Funny thing is, when i had EFLC 1.0.2.0, i could mod all the cars i want without any bugs or a care in the world, and it worked. i just don't have it anymore, and like gtaiv better.

My System:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2Ghz

8GB DDR3 1333Mhz CL7

EVGA nVidia GTS 450 1GB

500Gb Wester Digital Caviar Black 32MB Cache 7200rpm

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Things i have tried:

Using the Debug Function of GameBooster

Using Different Versions of Scripthook & Dsound

(i always run as adminstrator)

Manually Setting Fan Speed on GPU to keep below 40c

Any Help Appreciated

I think it may be a conflict with the patch 1.0.7.0 and the scripts or GTAIV and my system.

First off, get rid of Gamebooster.

Secondly, get rid of your 14+ car mods and ELS.

Then, reinstall IV and LCPDFR

The 14+ cars is gone, i said i had 14+ car mods, before it gave trouble and i did a re-install which means, i no longer have those, only els cars, and i know that they are not the problem, because at one time they worked fine with them. Besides, plenty of people use lcpdfr and els together and it works... just check youtube, there is tons of videos

Ahh okay my bad for misreading what you put. Have you tried (and I know this sounds silly) running IV on the lowest settings and (if it's Steam) validating the files?

yes, i have tried running it at the lowest, it still glitches..... and it's not a steam version... i think its the memory leak thing, but not sure... that or something on windows is messing with it

Are you starting your game from the same save each time ? Reason I ask is if you are then the time of day will be same each time and I find time of day especially dawn and dusk are the most resource hungry times on my PC.

It's just that you say it happens like clockwork at a specific amount of time into the game. Use trainer to change time and also weather if need be and see if it has any effect.

Could end up just being a small 15 minute time frame where this happens. Worth a try.

Also use Gameboosters defrag tool to defrag your GTA folder. After heavy modding I find it ends up all over the place.

Well, i do start from the same saved game, and it is around dawn.... so i will try that......but by the time the models start to glitch the game time is already around noon. i have tried to defrag with gamebooster.... it gave me a few extra minutes before the next crash... and like you said, it's like clockwork, it happens almost the exact same amount of time

Well, i got some of the models to start working again......... i used the memrestrict line in the commandline.txt and it helps some...... it will start off okay...then about the same time as before... the models will start to glitch, but with memrestrict, it will glitch for a minute of two, then back to normal..... a temporary fix i guess... still trying to research and mess around with the settings to try to find a more stable fix :/
