When I have downloaded the mod the game didn't start.

I have everything installed and when it start there is something with the dsound.dll

There is a window with this:

Application Error

Exeption EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5.

Cannot create file "C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto IVasilog.txt

Acces Diened.

I didn't know, what I must do to start the game as well.

Can anyone help me?

Run as administrator. Also, please for the love of G-d don't make your text white.

I play this on my own name and i have administrator rights

Right click --> properties --> compatibility --> always run as admin.

Running as admin and having an admin account are different things.

Try Useing Xlive it worked for me

Xlive will not fix this problem if you do not run the game as an administrator like instructed.

Ok, type in google search GTA IV patch. there should be one with EFIGS, use that one

Guys, listen...All he needs to do is run the game as an administrator as described by Icon. There is nothing more he needs to do.

u sure? because I switched to xliveless, and I don't run as admin and it works fine for me : (windows vista 64bit). then again I have no clue what's going on with my computer. I can't click the checkbox for 'run as admin' in any properties of anything I go to *shrugs* maybe it is running everything in admin somehow?... I have no clue I'm ranting, sorry. I'd still try using xlive anyways unless you plan on playing it online :P

Running GTA as an admin does not fix it for me.

guys its simple i had the same confusion but all you do (at leaste with windows 7) is right click gta4 and then click rin as admin it should start just fine
