Hey guys!

Im looking to bu a new GPU And was thinking about a 660,

But, is my PC compatible?


SPECS:
 

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT630   (CURRENT GPU)
CPU: AMD FX 4300 QUAD-CORE PROCESSOR @3.8 GHZ
DISPLAY: Vizio something 42'inch lol
RAM: 8GB DDR3
OS: WINDOWS 7 Professional 64- bit

I DO NOT KNOW MOTHERBOARD,ETC
Tell me how to find out!

We do need details on your motherboard and power supply. Consult your manual for the motherboard and consult the sticker on the side of the power supply for the max wattage rating.

Well, step 1 would be finding out if your mobo/power supply were compatible.

 

If you find that information, we can go from there.

 

your power supply should say on it somewhere how many watts it is. (You probably need about 500-550 watts to be safe)

Your motherboard would have to have a PCIE x16 slot. You can find images on google on what that would look like, or, i think theres a program called CPU-Z that will read and display everything you need to know about your computer.

 

 

edit. I'm not a pc expert my self, last year I upgraded my Power supply, and graphics card. I have a Asus GTX 660 directcu II OC 2GB and a 625w coolermaster PSU.
