Police mod on Mafia 2

Featured Replies

I was just playing Mafia 2 and I was wondering if there were a possibility to make a police mod for it. I mean wouldn't it be great driving down empire bay in a old style cruiser,

Any ideas?

I don't think it's remotely possible. Hardly anyone these days will create Mafia II mods and even then, in my experience, the game's various modding sites are shady as hell. However, it may be possible to convert the actual police cruiser from the game and put it into GTA IV so you'll still be able to have the ability to patrol in a '50s type fashion.

Mafia 2 is an awesome game and I've wondered this many times that something should be made for it, but atlas like bannana said, it probably won't happen (and I completely agree with the mod sites, what's up with that?).

It's sad to see how small the modding community is for Mafia 2. It's definiatley far from what was done to the original Mafia game where you had mods for literally everything.

Help us, help you!

M2:MP is a great mod.

It's currently under development. They've already got servers, player & vehicle sync up. You can also collide with other vehicles now.

I haven't really updated / checked on it since quite a while now, so I expect they got more stuff now, hopefully they fixed shooting now.

Give it a try, it's really fun.

Once done, you can expect heavy (& light too I guess) RPs:   Persistent characters & vehicles, money system (including banks), housing system, ID cards, vehicle & weapon licenses, various jobs (Police, Medic, Fuel delivery, etc.) & whatever else that can be put to make it more realistic (check out >Old School Roleplay in Server Ads section, they're working on getting all these ingame).

If my post made you laugh (or giggle) in any way, smash that blue grey "Like this" button & like it

That mod is such stupid shit. They couldn't even get the proper model for the cop!

The only reason they don't have the proper cop and other models, is because the models they have now worked with most of the animations and all, but they have to remap some of the things on the models so they will work. But, the people who do that had said they are taking a break from m2mp to do life shit, and the next update wont be until next year.

Plus, what would you expect for a mod that's in alpha
