A Few Questions About 95RC

In the ini file under scripts I have this:

ChanceCrimeIsComittedMultiplier = 350

DelayBetweenCalloutsMinSeconds = 30

DelayBetweenCalloutsMaxSeconds = 180

MaxNumberOfWorldEvents = 2

PreloadAllModels = False

What does the first value mean (the 350)? If I want more crimes (not callouts but random crimes) do I set this higher, lower, or am I way off to begin with?

Also.....What is a "world event"? I saw someone on this forum has his set to "1" but mine defaulted to "2".

I play "hardcore" so I wont see the blips of fleeing cars (LOVE IT!!!) but will I see the blips of the random crimes with F7 off?

Finally (for now anyway) when I hit F7 to stop callouts does this also stop the random crimes as well?

Hey Devs......amazing frikken work here. Be proud! You earned it!

This is my ini file:

[General]

ChanceCrimeIsComittedMultiplier = 90

DelayBetweenCalloutsMinSeconds = 5

DelayBetweenCalloutsMaxSeconds = 30

MaxNumberOfWorldEvents = 1

PreloadAllModels = False

A lower number on the ChanceCrimeIsCommitedMultiplier will yield more results, whilst a larger number will produce less callouts.

For a small delay between callouts, have a small number for the MinSeconds delay, and a slightly larger one (but still small) for the MaxSeconds delay (like in my file).

World Events are the white blips you see on your map, they can be pursuits, drunkards, etc. 2 is the default, but I prefer it set to 1.

As for blips whilst on Hardcore, I'm not sure. I don't play hardcore often.

When you say you want random crimes, not callouts, I assume you mean world events. A lower crime multiplier may help, as will keeping your max world event value to 2 or 3.

It should be noted that callouts in .95 RC 1 are bugged and usually stop appearing after a while. Some world events (especially pursuits) do not show up either. Changing the ini file won't help this, unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply Icon...

...and yes I meant the white blips when I said random crimes.

Something still is fuzzy though...

If the "multiplier" sets the callout frequency then how does the "time" settings fit into this? I mean, if you are setting min and max time between your callouts then shouldn't THAT define the frequncy?

Maybe the "multiplier" is a setting ONLY for the "World Events"? Just a guess....

Can any of the Devs actually post about these settings? I am getting white blips AND callouts at the same time. I will get a nothing for awile and then I will instantly get a white blip and a callout so I have to choose which one instead of dealing with them both. Can I adjust something so this doesnt happen?

Okay I lowered the "Multiplier" to 100 and I think it made less white blips. I am going to raise it to 600 to see if I get more white blip action or not. I THINK this is what this does but not sure. The one that really stumps me is "Maxnumberofworldevents" because I put it at 20 and I put it at 1 and I do not see any change. Does anyone know what this does?

ChanceCrimeIsComittedMultiplier relates to call-outs only, it controls how likely it is that a new call-out will be generated, after the minimum time between call-outs has been reached.

DelayBetweenCalloutsMin/MaxSeconds do what they say on the tin (the script will wait the minimum amount before using random functions and the multiplier to generate new call-outs at random and will force a call-out after the maximum time has been reached.

MaxNumberOfWorldEvents controls how many simultaneously running world events there can be at once. Changing this setting to higher values will have limited effect as the mathematical calculations involved in generating new world events are designed to generate them quite infrequently. Setting this to a lower value will reduce the limit, and setting it to 0 will disable world events.

PreloadAllModels is intended for those who use car modifications - it pre-loads models into the game's memory so that they can be quickly accessed when needed.
