i followed all the steps but after i use the launcher as administrator. the launcher while its in progress freezes, the diagnostics were fine, everything came up as good. but it doesn't respond while launching.

is your GTA foulder read only ?

Can you post the log anyway as well as the LCPDFR.log in your GTA IV directory please?

Have you updated to patch 1.0.7.0? if not the link is below in my signature.

i re installed GTA IV and im gonna try to do it again.

the folders i have are read only now. do i make it not read only?

i have it all, but now it wont launch at all.

Can you please list everything you have done since you installed the game and upload any logs, just like I asked in my first post!

Also please, edit your posts rather than double posting (or in your case, triple!)

i installed put all the lcpdfr and all files needed into their respective places, and when i go to start the game it loads a bit, loads the disk then just stops loading.here is my diagnostic report.

I think you need to download or update GFWL (Games For Windows Live). Go here, and go to the bottom of the page. In the middle will be a thing that says Download. Click it, and go from there.

i got an error after the game started saying that i should try installing directx or updating my video card

So did you try installing directx and checking for updates for your video card ? :confused:

yea, my laptop wont run the game now, it says the video card isn't good enough so im buying a new laptop with my christmas and birthday money.
