Yeah... I just wont be able to record the mod anymore until it is resolved, It is something mod/script or other file related that they don't even know of, I would just play 0.95 but it is so bad compared to 1.0 haha

There clearly is an issue with game or driver compatibility in some way even though logs may not show it. Been around coding and programs long enough to know, I love the mod so I hope it is resolved at some point.

I could not figure it out either. I am going to try reinstalling my entire OS (It needed to be done anyways at some point) and see if that fixes it. Something must have been installed after playing for some time that interfered with the game somehow, a graphics driver, even a program of some sort.

One thing I recommend you to try is to run your OS in safety mode and then play GTAIV normally (I.e Compatibility mode, admin, ect) and then post results. I would, but my GTAIV is uninstalled ATM.

I've done everything imaginable such as, OS reinstall, Game re-download, Mod re-download, Compatibility mode and much more... As LMS told me in a PM this is an issue that quite a few people have with LCPDFR v1.0 and it "is not" caused by LCPDFR itself...

Not sure what the cause is then as it only happens with the mod installed haha, I am still looking into that.. It is a 50/50 chance it will happen to you as I was able to play fine for weeks before it began happening to me.

Thanks for that info, when I have more time I will be sure to do some more extensive testing with OS reinstall and drivers and such. I'll add you as a friend, if you find anything on your end, be sure to notify me. As for now, enjoy LCPDFR v0.95 :)

Just an update to the thread, I had a friend test the game on his PC which has better specs than myself and on a completely clean GTAIV copy with only LCPDFR 1.0a installed and he also crashes due to the same error.

Then you're obviously doing it wrong. The latest redist are needed on Windows 8.1. And keep in mind, that GTA IV is not supported on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.

Never had an issue with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 while running GTAIV before, 0.95 never crashes me but 1.0a does, Do you happen to have a link to the latest redist downloads by any chance? Pretty sure I already have them.
