BRAND new to PC GTA 4 and i need help

Featured Replies

I just happened upon LCPD FR on YouTube last night and i SO want this game. I have a Brand New Gateway Terragig tower that ive used maybe 5x in the past 6 months. I always play GTA on PS3. My question is: What Software do i need to make sure that when i download all of this, it all works smoothly, as for I am starting from scratch. I do not know a lot about my PC or Mods or anything like that, I am looking to have someone tell me in laymans terms what i need to buy, to install and download to play this game. Thanks

That should help you get sorted in setting up LCPDFR :)

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

You need to buy GTA IV or EFLC for PC. Once you have installed you need to install these: This and this. And then you need LCPDFR itself.

Once you've done all that, you're good to go! Just press Alt+P ingame.

I went and bought a store copy of GTA4, it originally worked before i downloaded the microsoft windows files and the lcpdfr 0.95 download, now...GTA wont even open, i get that error code that i posted above

Question 1: Is your GTA folder set to read-only? To check this, right click on the GTA folder itself, and click properties. At the bottom of this dialog box are two options, Hidden and Read-Only. If it is set to read only, un-check the box.

Question 2: Are you using LaunchGTAIV.exe to start the game? If not, then you must use that to start GTA.

I uninstalled GTA4 and reinstalled it without downloading LCPDFR............it now works, but now i have the issued of the disappearing buildings..........i am using a gateway (acer) intel core i5 processor with 6gb of memory and a 1.5 tb harddrive. I have NOTHING else installed on this tower. im losing paitence and i am a novice when it comes to this stuff

What graphics card do you have? The number 1 cause of the disappearing buildings/textures is a graphics card that cannot handle the game. For whatever reason, you need a pretty decent graphics card, even by today's standards, to run the game with good graphics.

The same thing we told the OP, you need a better system.

I heard Traffic Load (or Traffic something... not traffic flow) can also cause this but it is almost always a weak system.
