I had just downloaded LCPDFR 1.0 on my windows 8 computer.  When I started playing, it said: "LCPDFR encountered a critical error while initializing and was shut down. Please check the logfile.  I went back to the setup wizard and clicked on where it said "Repair".  It checked everything and I restarted the game and the same thing happened.  What should I do? I had the issue too... these options:

 

1. Use the MANUAL installation not AUTOMATIC

2. Get the latest version of scripthook i believe it's 1.7.1.7 i may be wrong

3. Make sure you have the latest version of .NetFramework i believe that's 4.5.1 i may be wrong about that also

4. Make sure you applied the hotfix and run the game as admin

 

Sorry if the versions of the scripthook and framework are wrong, but i DO know that the issue is most likely caused by the above.

If you're using the manual installer, there is no need to apply the hotfix just so you know.
