Hey guys, I mention later last week of me getting lcpdfr. Time has come to buy windows on my Macbook Pro 2011 tomorrow. I have a few questions. 

 

 

1. Will LCPDFR 1.0 work better on windows 8 or 7. Please example why! Or both?

2. Here are few things about my Macbook Pro 2011.

Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Software  OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

 

I wanted to know if this will suit and work fine with LCPDFR 1.0? Also anything I need to be aware of. 

 

P.S. I'm using game stop app instead of steam. I believe that won't be a problem?

It does not matter which one you choose (7 or 8) however 8 will have a few compatability issues with GTA IV (I ran into a few myself trying to get it working)

 

However, your computer has a 384MB graphics card. THAT is what will cause you problems. You should have a minimum of 1GB, and I recommend 1.5 to be safe (I run 2GB)

 

Since it is a laptop, it would cost a fortune to upgrade and I suggest getting a desktop PC that could fit your needs better.

I made sure to get conformation from many reliable sources before buying GTA. Those included Rockstar Support and Game. Unfortunately, I cannot retrieve this conformation. 

So LCPDFR will work for windows 8.1?

Yes, it should work fine. Keep in mind that GTA IV isn't optimized for Windows 8 though.

You might have to use patch 1.0.7.0 if your using Windows 8 or 8.1. I run my GTA IV on Windows 8 and I ran into a "Fatal Error WS10" which would not run GTA IV for me. After researching I found I needed patch 1.0.7.0 and I installed it and it worked.

No, you have to use that patch to be able to run LCPDFR.

Windows 8.1 is fine, you don't have a graphics card though so you're going to have a hard time getting it to run smooth, look pretty, or both.

I called Microsoft and said it wouldn't work. I went to best buy 3 times. For windows 8.1 unopened and get windows 7. I planning not going back to best buy again -_-. Hopefully there're won't be a fourth time.
