LCPDFR 1.0 not starting...

Featured Replies

So while I am a little new to mods and how they work, I did take some time to look over forums and decided to post specifically the issue I'm having.  I have installed the new LCPDFR 1.0, both manually and automatically(applying the hotfix).  The game then loads properly, however when attempting to launch the game (Alt-P), nothing comes up.  Even the ~ key will not load anything for commands.  Could I be overlooking something in the install.  I believe I have all needed updates and proper OS, etc for the game to work, but am at a loss.  Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

You have to upload the picture to an image sharing website, such as filesmelt or imgur. You can't "link" them directly from your PC.

That's a link to a local file, on your computer. There is no way I can access that unless you upload it to a image hosting site (imgur, for example).

Hello.  Okay so I went through and completely re-installed the game and then did the LCPDFR manually.  When I load the game, still the same with the mod not starting...any further suggestions?

Not specifically no, however I believe the other loader is dsound ?  I have tried launching the game using each one separately, still same results with not loading...

Then I am not sure what could be wrong, sorry :/

What are your computer specs? Also, try to remove/move your savefiles. The save files are located in 2 different places.

X:Users%username%DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames

Note: The AppData-folder is usually hidden, make sure that you can see hidden files.

Note 2: “X” is the drive where you have installed GTA IV, and %username% is replaced by your username

I'm having the same problem everything is installed correctly and I've tried manual and automatic installation still nothing.

Can you run the reliability monitor, and Double click on GTAIV.exe and then post your results here

Are you running the game as administrator? do you have the Latest patch? What other mods are you using?
