"LCPDFR has encountered a Critical Error" on Startup

Featured Replies

Hello,

When I recently installed the 1.0a Manual installation, and I when I get in game, it states that "LCPDFR has encountered a critical error and has been shut down." I also believe it says there was an error in the LCPDFR loader.

I have looked through the support forums and have tried solutions to no avail. What I have tried is as follows:

  • Install Microsoft Net Framework 4.5
  • Update to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679)
  • Double checked if I have 1.0.7.0 (I do)
  • I previously installed 1.0a after using the automatic installer, and I encountered the same error.
  • Used the xlive.dll provided in the manual installation

I have attached both my LCPDFR.log and AdvancedHook.log as requested. Also, in case it may be of help (don't think it will though), I have attached screenshots of my game files.

Thank you in advance for being willing to help!

Why are you running both 0.95 RC2 and 1.0?

Remove 0.95 (delete ./Scripts/FirstResponse.net.dll).

I checked and it's not there though... (see attached screenshot). I uninstalled 0.95 following the guide at http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19.

UPDATE: I was able to run a game of LCPDFR 1.0a smoothly shortly after you replied. However, when I restarted my computer, the critical error came back. I have attached my most updated LCPDFR/Advancedhook log.
