Hi! I'm Melinux, and I am new to the LCPD:FR Mod.

I have gotten it to work a few times last night, but when I attempted to download a vehicle pack and put it into the GTA IV Folder in my Files, now the game won't let me start up LCPD:FR.

I'm trying to figure it out, I also inserted the ELS 7 download into the file. It wouldn't let me even start the GTA game for a bit, and then I deleted it from the folder and it allowed me to.

I don't really get how to work this and how to enable the "Cheats" that you usually see in the YouTube videos.

I'm sorta upset because since I got the GTA IV and LCPD:FR it's been acting up like crazy.

The game also won't let me connect to Live, can anyone help with any of these problems?

1. To install vehicle mods, you will need additional software, like OpenIV http://openiv.com/WebIV/guest.php?get=1. There are several tutorials online to help you in OpenIV usage. 

2. I'm not sure what you mean with "inserted the ELS 7 download into the file." Would you mind explaining that?

3. The "cheats" you speak about is probably the simple native trainer. Download here (http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/simple-trainer-version-65-f2115)

4. Do you have a legal copy of the game? Did you use XLIVE or DSOUND when installing LCPDFR?

 

When installing LCPDFR, did you use the manual or automatic installer?

Second also, Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.
