I have always had this problem but have never been able to fix it no matter what I tried to do. So I am asking the community if they have any fixes or ideas on the problem.

While playing LCPD:FR and using certain Police vehicles if I get too far away from them they go all distorted into basically a black and white blob or sometimes even to just the frame of the car. I'll put photos in to showcase what I mean. If anyone knows or has a remedy for this giant pain in the ass please help.

 

It's nothing to do with LCPD:FR, it has to do with the model. Whoever made it set the LOD to something low, at least I think, and that's the farther you get from the model, the lesser appears.

 

It may also have to do with your graphical settings but I'm not too sure about GTA IV's limitations regarding details from models at a distance.

I've just noticed that it has to be the modded car he's using. There are other cars at the same distance away, refer to the pictures, and yet they are not blurred nor distorted one bit. If it were his graphic settings, the other cars at a distance would look exactly the same as the modded car does, in it's state of low detail.

 

It's gotta just be the model itself. I'd recommend talking to the author who made it and possibly get it fixed.

Thanks for the help! It's a shame because I really liked the pack and it's the only models out there with that particular lightbar :(

I have my view distance set to about 70 and quality/detail set to 100. I dare say it's just the models :(
