Evening All,

 

Does anyone know if a UK police Baseball Cap exists and if so where it can be downloaded?

 

I've been looking everywhere but no can find :(

 

Most UK police ARV's have them and not the NATO Helmets.

British armed police don't wear baseball hats.

 

the British police force use the following headwear:

 

Custodian Hat - Foot police (usually seen with a high vis jacket on too)

Peak Cap (if male) or bowler hat (if female) - Some foot police or stationed guard, but usually for the vehicle officers

Tactical NATO helmet with Protective eyewear and a balaclava - Armed Response units.

There are mainly 2 different types of Armed Police in the UK

 

TFU - A Tactical Firearms Unit.

 

Used in major or planned operations where Firearms are potentially present.

 

ARV - Armed Response Vehicle

 

Day to Day Armed officers who patrol the streets. They are equipped as per the most recent pic.

 

Anyone fancy having a go at the cap idea?

Which are both grouped under SCO19 after Special Operations branch of government merged with Central Operations.

 

Extra Information for those interested

You've also got SFU (specialist firearms Unit), ARU (Armed Response unit and SFO (Specialist Firearms Officers) if you want to get technical :P

Oh and SO or Spec Ops (specialist Operations) which sub-divides into Protection Command, Security Command and CTC (Counter-Terrorism Command) :)

FTR, I'm not arguing with you I'm just providing knowledge for people if they're interested. :)

I spent a good portion of my life growing up with the only goal in life was to join the police, I went through the entire process the second I turned 18 to join the Special Constabulary but was 2% out on my interview because, at 18, we have no experiences that can help us. And people nowadays want experience over education.

I passed everything else with flying colours that's what annoyed me most :/ Ah well.

I'm no modeler so if anyone wants to attempt this go for it, free will and what not. I'm sure the OP would be greatly appreciative for it :)

SCO19 are a Met unit.
