OK, So I recently built a computer that runs GTA IV smoothly. And for a few days now after I installed a new OS for it now that I'm running windows 8, The game when I go to launch it it takes me all the way past the Rockstar symbols and the final GTA IV sign. Then my game sits on a black screen the crashes. The Error it keeps giving me is Error Code: TextP70, And tells me that I need to Upgrade my graphics card drivers or to install the newest Direct X, I have on board, Integrated graphics. As well I have ran this computer maxing the game and playing with Nutts Enb? Here are my specs for if they will help? Please help. 2. Install and run the software

3. Go to File and select Save as Text File.

I tried four times still no launch it gives me the same message.         

Yes I bought it through steam, I have ran it through steam many times.

How could I find all my direct x files and delete them and try reinstalling ?

Verify the game files through steam and try again. 

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Also, install LCPDFR 1.0 manually ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>). Second also, install these: 

• Games for Windows Live Redist 3.5: (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549)

• Microsoft NetFramework 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

• Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

When I validated it told me 3 files didn't pass and that they would be reatiqated/

I'm here most of the time, just post a development of what happened and me or someone else will try to make sense of it. 

Ok, So when I launched it it gave me the same problem. So my thoughts and from talking with freinds at school we think it is Direct X v11.0 Becuase they said they have had problems with it. I also could run GTA IV off of direct x v9.0 so i think that is the problem. How do i get the v9.0 instead of v11.0? Or what is your thoughts on that.

What could i run gta off of past direct x??
